A New Take on a Green Thumb

These days, having a “green thumb” can mean something radically different from what it used to. Once it just meant that you were really good at making things grow in your garden, in balcony containers, or in your flower pots.

How to Buy Recycled Goods

You can even buy recycled when it comes to electronics. People purchase recycled computers all the time to find parts in the machines that are still suitable for use. You can visit your local recycling center to find printers, ink cartridges, mouse pads, and ……..

Green Living: the Three Rs Again

They really are a cliche: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. But cliches usually start somewhere, and this one began because these three words are astonishingly powerful. If you learn to practice all three, you’ll be very surprised at how little real garbage, ultimately, you produce.

Green Living and Energy Consumption

The next type of step in reducing your energy use is a leap into the larger end of the spectrum: buying energy efficient appliances and electronics. They are out there, and require some research, but if you’re thinking long term, you can start making a difference right away and consider the expense an investment in the future. Use wind power in your individual home?

The turbines that supply less power and are only used for a few things will of course be smaller and less expensive. They will be easier to install and take up less space. You would also have more choice about design

Environmental Economics

Externality is another property of environmental economics that you’ll need to be aware of. This principle occurs when a person makes a choice that involves or effects other individuals

Landfills

How to Cut Your Energy Costs

I know this sounds a little nuts, but I can show you how to:
* Build your own solar or wind power generator by following easy, simple, “any kid could understand it” instructions
* Slash your monthly home electric bill by 80%…or maybe even eliminate it entirely
* Go completely off “the grid” so rising power costs will [...]

Save as Much Power as Possible

Another alternative is to install a motion light. This is a type that doesn’t have to be left on when you leave home. When you pull into your driveway it will turn on based on the movement it has detected. It will remain on for a short period of time which allows you to get safely into your home with the light you need.
